La Tagliabue Modelli s.n.c. is a company specialized in the designing and realization of moulds for thermoplastics and thermosetting. Our headquarters are in Monza.
Already in its fourth generation of the Tagliabue family, our company was founded in 1942, and originally dealt with the realization of wood models for historic customers in Monza such as Philips (medical sector), Candy (domestic appliance sector), Gilera (motorcycle sector), as well as active foundries in the capital of Brianza (the main ones were Breda, for the railroad branch, and Singer, famous for the production of sewing machines).
The company progressively specialized in the business of realizing moulds. The resources the company now has, both in terms of machinery and software, and of the staff's level of experience, acquired from years of doing business, allow the company to realize moulds of medium and large dimensions in either steel or aluminum:
- The machine shop has 3-, 4-, 5-axle milling machines. In February 2014, an IMSA MF 1000/2F was added, a machine for boring deep holes, equipped with a rotating and tilting table and with specific software provided by TEBIS, which allows totally autonomous work;
- The technical office is furnished with the most modern versions of software: CAD (CATIA v. 5) and CAM (TEBIS v. 3.5.R5 and WORK NC v.21).
- The company has also developed a network of collaborators in order to complete and, when necessary, amplify its product offers:
• Third party companies equipped with 3-, 4-, 5-axle machines, machining centers and gantry milling machinery, are able to amplify production capacity to meet more consistent demand;
• Companies specializing in surface treatments;
• Companies specializing in thermal treatments;
• Trusted mould-producers supporting us by realizing samples and small lots of products finished in plastic, polyurethane, RIM, telene, composite materials, carbon fiber;
• Companies specializing in dimensional controls.
Today our aim is to meet the customer's needs in every phase inherent in realizing a mould, from design to creation. We apply technology and skill guaranteed by our decades of experience in the sector of mould-production, as demonstrated by the broad range of offers our company has been able to provide over the years and the level of customers with whom we have collaborated.
